Terms of Use
Effective: October 22, 2026
Who we are
LowSpoons is made by SIXTOE STUDIOS LLC ("we", "us"). These terms are an agreement between you and us about using the LowSpoons app and website. By using LowSpoons, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Questions? Email hello@lowspoons.app.
Using the app and your account
- You need to be old enough to agree to these terms where you live, and at least 13.
- Keep your sign-in safe. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
- Give us accurate details when you sign up, and keep your email up to date.
- You can delete your account at any time. Here's how to delete your account.
Subscriptions
- LowSpoons offers auto-renewing subscriptions: Monthly ($5.99 a month) and Yearly ($39.99 a year), in US dollars. Prices in other countries are set by the store and shown before you buy.
- Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) bills you, not us. Payment is taken by your store account when you confirm the purchase.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the same price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it renews.
- Yearly may start with a free week for new subscribers. If you don't cancel before the free week ends, the store charges you for the year.
- Cancel any time in your App Store subscriptions or Google Play subscriptions. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting your account doesn't cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. We can't issue refunds for store purchases.
AI can be wrong
LowSpoons uses AI to recognize foods in photos, understand what you say or type, and suggest recipes and meal ideas. AI makes mistakes. It can miss an ingredient, misread a label, or suggest something that doesn't suit you.
- Always check ingredients, allergens and food safety yourself before you cook or eat anything.
- LowSpoons isn't medical, nutritional or dietary advice, and it doesn't replace a doctor, dietitian or other professional. If you have allergies, a medical condition or a special diet, follow their advice.
Fair use
Please don't:
- break the law, or use LowSpoons to harm, harass or deceive anyone
- upload content you don't have the right to share, or content that's illegal or abusive
- try to get around limits, access other people's accounts, or break, overload or reverse-engineer the app or its servers
- use automated tools to scrape the app, or resell or copy it
Your content
The photos, text and voice you add, and the kitchen, recipes and lists you build, stay yours. You give us permission to store, process and send them to the services we use (including AI providers) only as needed to run, keep safe and improve LowSpoons. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
The app itself, its design, name and code belong to us. You can use it for your own personal, non-commercial use.
Ending things
You can stop using LowSpoons and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others or the service at risk, and we may change or stop the service. If we stop it for good, we'll tell you first where we can.
Disclaimers and liability
LowSpoons is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or right about food, ingredients or recipes.
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or lost data or profits, from using LowSpoons. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for LowSpoons in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if that's more. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Apple App Store
If you got LowSpoons from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA) applies alongside these terms. If they conflict, these terms apply to the extent the Standard EULA allows. You and we also agree that:
- These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app fails to meet a warranty that applies, you can tell Apple, and Apple may refund the price you paid for it. Apart from that, Apple has no warranty obligation for the app, to the extent the law allows.
- Apple isn't responsible for any claims about the app, including product liability claims, claims that it doesn't meet a legal or regulatory requirement, consumer protection or privacy claims, or claims that it infringes someone's intellectual property. We are responsible for handling those.
- You confirm you're not in a country under a US government embargo or on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and once you accept them, Apple can enforce them against you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules, except where the law where you live says otherwise.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If it's a big change, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using LowSpoons after that, you agree to the new terms.
